BIO:

Wei Zhao is a lecturer at Shandong University. Wei earned her Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from Shandong University, her M.A. in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Ocean University of China, and her B.A. in English Language and Literature from Yantai University. Her research and teaching interests include second language acquisition and applied linguistics. She is the author of A Study of Recasts in English Oral Interactions. She has published articles on such linguistic journals in China as Foreign Languages in China and Journal of Ocean University of China (Social Sciences). Her journal articles have dealt with topics such as corrective feedback, learning strategy, and interactional studies.

She has been teaching Comprehensive English and English Listening at School of Translation Studies, Shandong University since 2004. The philosophy rooted in her teaching is the stimulation of students’ motivation, which is widely welcomed by her students and thus earns her the title of My Favorite Teacher selected by the Graduating Class of 2016.
