BIO:

Xiangyun Wang is professor at Shandong University. Xiangyun earned his Ph.D. in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, his M.A. in English Language and Literature, and his B.A. in English Education all from Shandong University. His research and teaching interests are in English Stylistics and Second Language Acquisition. He is the author of English Attrition of College Graduates: An Empirical Study, Stylistic Study of English Poetry, and A Comparative Study Between Ancient Chinese and Greek Mythologies. He has published some essays on such famous linguistic journals in China as Foreign Literature Review, Folklore Studies, Foreign Language Education, Journal of Shandong University, Social Sciences in Yunnan, Journal of Northeast Normal University, and Dongyue Tribune. His essays have dealt with topics such as language attrition and English literature.

He has taught English Linguistics, Culture of English-speaking Countries and English Poetry Stylistics, etc. at School of Translation Studies, Shandong University since 2013. His classes are widely welcomed and he has been awarded the honorary title of “Teacher of Shandong Province ” twice.
