BIO:

Xiuguo Huang is a lecturer at Shandong University. She earned her Ph.D. in English Literature from Fudan University, her M.A. in English Literature from Zhejiang University, and her B.A. in English from Shandong Normal University. Her research and teaching interests are in American Literature and Comparative Literature. She is the author of From Gemeinschaft to Gesellschaft: an Investigation of the Humanism Spirit in Snopes Trilogy. She has published some essays on such journals in China as Foreign Language and Translation, Foreign Language and Literature Journal of Fudan University and international journals such as SEMIOTICA and The Anthropologist. Her essays have dealt with topics such as American Southern Literature and Comparative Literature.

She has taught History of American Literature, Selected American Novels and Comparative Literature at School of Translation Studies, Shandong University since 2005. Her class was interesting, informative and enlightening, which is widely welcomed by his students.
