BIO:

Huaikai Chen is a lecturer at Shandong University. He earned his M.A. in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Xi’an International Studies University and his B.A. in English Education from Shandong Normal University. His research and teaching interests are in Western Critical Theories and Translation Studies. He has published some essays on such journals in China as Contemporary Foreign Literature. His essays have dealt with topics such as inter-subjectivity, Western Marxism, and New Historicism.

He has taught Comprehensive English and English-Chinese Interpretation at School of Translation Studies, Shandong University since 2006. The philosophy rooted in his teaching is the fusion of creative reading and critical thinking, which is widely welcomed by his students.
