BIO:

Cuiying Sun is a lecturer at Shandong University. She is currently a PhD candidate in Studies on Literature and Art of Shandong University and a visiting scholar at University of Notre Dame, USA. She has earned her M.A. in Translation Theory and Practice from Ludong University and her B.A. in Language and Literature from Shandong University at Weihai.

Her research and teaching interests are in translation studies and literary theories. She is the translator of Ecology without Nature: Rethinking Environment Aesthetics (to be published). She has published some essays on linguistic and translation journals in China, dealing with topics such as literary criticism and translation studies.

She has taught Comprehensive English, Shandong University at Weihai, since 2005. She is trying to help the studies to bridge the gap between the high-school English learning and fresh-man adaption to a new stage, which is widely welcomed by her students and ranks her among the popular teachers on campus.
