BIO:

Cui Yinghui is an associate professor at Shandong University. She earned her Ph.D. in Translation studies from Shandong University, her M.A. in American Literature from Hebei Normal University, and her B.A. in English education from Liaoning Normal University. Her research and teaching interests are in the translation of Chinese classics and Applied Translation. She is the translator of The New Single Woman. She has published some essays on such famous academic journals in China as Foreign Languages Research (waiyuyanjiu), Foreign Language Research (waiyuxuekan). Her essays have dealt with topics such as the study on the target readers of translation.

She has taught Advanced English and E-C Translation in School of Translation Studies, Shandong University since 2002. The philosophy rooted in her teaching is the application of theory into practice, which is generally welcomed by her students and thus earns her a popular teacher.
