BIO:
Xiuchun Gu is a lecturer at Shandong University. Her research and teaching interests are in translation studies and English teaching methodology. She has published some essays on such journals in China as Science and Technology Information. Her essays have dealt with topics such as creative treason in translation studies and English teaching methodology.
She has taught Comprehensive English, Extensive Reading and so on at School of Translation Studies, Shandong University since 2006. The philosophy rooted in her teaching is contextualization in reading, which is widely welcomed by her students.
