BIO:

Xiaomei Chang, professor at Shandong University. earned her M.A. in Education from Sydney University, Australia, and her B.A. in English Language and Literature from Xi’an International Studies University. Her research and teaching interests are in English language teaching and Intercultural Communication. She is the author of An Action Research on Enhancing Students’ Intercultural Awareness in College English Teaching. She has published some essays on such famous linguistic journals in China as Foreign Language World and Foreign Language Education. Her essays have mainly focused on TESOL.

She has taught Methodology and Language Teaching, Comprehensive English, Advanced English, College English, Interpreting, Writing, Public Speaking etc. at School of Translation Studies, Shandong University since 2000. She has been taking a student centred approach to teaching, with which she has tutored many students to have won prizes in the national and provincial English Competitions. Besides, she has been honoured as Prominent Teacher of Shandong University, Provincial March 8 Red-banner Pacesetter, My Favourite Tutor on Campus, and has won Nomination Award of Top 10 Teacher’s Ethics Pacesetters in Universities in Shandong.
