BIO:
Dianyu Zhang, currently working as a professor of English at Shandong University, earned his doctoral, Master’s and bachelor degrees respectively from East Tennessee State University and Inner Mongolia Normal University. He enjoys an active and fruitful engagement in such academic pursuits as second language acquisition, text linguistics, translation, and educational leadership. Some of his achievements can be found in the seven books authored by him and the over twenty academic papers published in some nationally renowned journals, Foreign Language Teaching and Research, Foreign Language World, and Foreign Language Teaching.
Having been engaged in the profession of teaching English and research for over 30 years, Zhang began his current work at the School of Translation Studies in 1997, delivering such courses as Interpreting, Translation, American Society and Culture, and College English. Recognized as a mentor among his students, he has received much acclaim from his students and fellow teachers.
